Caravan sites
A caravan site is a pitch you drive into and stay at: an approach a long motorhome can actually take, level ground and, as a rule, water and electricity. People arrive here in an ordinary car with a tent just as often.
We split caravan sites out from ordinary campgrounds: until now a tent field and a motorhome pitch shared the single "equipped" type, and finding the latter among the former was impossible.

- How is a caravan site different from a campground?
- Access and pitch size. A tent field assumes you walk in from the car park; at a caravan site you drive in and stay by the vehicle. Hence wider lanes and level pitches — equally handy for a motorhome and for a car with a tent.
- Do I need to book?
- In season yes, especially in the south and at weekends. Sites set their own terms and prices, so ask them directly: we show the place and its coordinates, not live availability.
- Where do I empty grey water?
- The map has a separate dump-station category — switch it on and route through them. It is the scarcest infrastructure there is: in some regions you can count them on one hand.
