Wildfires, quakes and floods — are they on your way?
A live layer on the map: wildfire hotspots from satellites, earthquakes from magnitude 2.5, floods, cyclones and eruptions with alert levels. The ring around each one shows how serious it is.
Hazards on CAMPLY is a live map layer with wildfire hotspots from satellites (updated every 3 hours), earthquakes from magnitude 2.5, floods, cyclones and eruptions with alert levels. The layer covers the whole world; tapping a ring opens the event card with its date.
- Wildfires every 3 hours, quakes every 10 minutes
- Coverage: worldwide
Four kinds of hazards, one layer
Wildfires
Hotspots from satellites, updated every three hours. Detections are merged into hotspots so the map doesn't flicker.
Earthquakes
Quakes from magnitude 2.5. Marker size follows magnitude.
Floods and cyclones
Zone outlines; the ring colour is the alert level: green, orange, red.
Eruptions
Active volcanoes with the start date and zone. Handy in Iceland, Italy and Kamchatka.
How to check for hazards along your route
Hazards are a map layer and a line in every place card. In the app, navigation warns you about a wildfire ahead on your route.
- 1
Turn on the Wildfires and Hazards layers
Rings and hotspots land on the map; tap a ring for the event card with its date.
- 2
Plot a route
Along the road you see what's near the highway; in the app you hear it in advance.
- 3
Report an incident yourself
If you see smoke, a ford or a blocked road, mark it on the map — the next driver sees it before the satellite does.
