Buzuluksky Bor is a large pine forest in the middle of the steppe zone, divided by the border between the Samara and Orenburg regions; since 2007 it’s been a national park. Very old pines can be found here, and the Borovka River flows through the forest. There are marked routes and ranger stations; visiting and camping are subject to park rules and require permits. The internal roads are sandy: it’s easy to get stuck in a heavy car, it’s better to stick to packed ones.
