Ukek was a large city of the Golden Horde on the right bank of the Volga, existing in the 13th and 14th centuries. What remains today are cultural layers and archaeologists' finds: there are no standing buildings on the site, and the settlement area lies within Saratov, near the Uvek district. Go with the understanding that what you will see is the place and the lie of the land, while the finds are in Saratov's museum displays.
