Uspensky Trifonov Monastery

Description

The Dormition Trifonov Monastery is the historic centre of Orthodox Vyatka, founded in 1580. The five-domed 17th-century Dormition Cathedral remains one of the oldest surviving churches in the city. The monastery stands on the slope down to the River Zasora, close to Kirov's central streets; the grounds are open to visitors.
