Description
The Votkinsk Reservoir stretches along the Kama from Perm downstream to the dam of the Votkinsk hydroelectric station near the town of Chaykovsky, reaching partly into Udmurtia. The banks are high and wooded in places, with sandy beaches and holiday bases, and shipping is well developed. Turn-offs to the water run from the shoreline villages; on the open reaches the waves can be heavy.
