The Ingal Valley between the Iset and the Tobol is one of the most archaeologically dense areas of Western Siberia: kurgan groups and settlements from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages are concentrated here. On the surface it is open fields and river terraces with burial mounds, and there is almost no museum infrastructure — go with the understanding that what you will see is the landscape, while the finds are held in the museums of Tyumen.
