The settlement on the high bank of the Irtysh near Tobolsk — the capital of the Siberian Khanate, which was taken by Yermak’s squad in 1582. There’s almost nothing to see here: no fortifications have been preserved, and the cape itself has been eroded by the river for decades, much of the area has already collapsed. The place is more historical than scenic; access is via a dirt road, which is difficult in muddy conditions.
