The Nevinnomyssk Canal carries water from the Kuban into the Yegorlyk basin and became the basis for irrigating the arid part of Stavropol Krai. Construction was completed in the mid-20th century. It is an engineering structure rather than a place for a stroll: roads cross the canal, and there are spots along it for a short stop and a look at the waterworks.
