Tides at Hopewell Rocks are semidiurnal: two high and two low waters a day, each day about 50 minutes later than the day before. Today the range between low and high water is 9.9 m; at spring tides (new and full moon) it reaches 13.1 m, at neap tides about 6.6 m. The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides on Earth: at low water you walk the ocean floor among the "flowerpot" rocks; at high water the sea rises by more than ten metres. Predictions use the harmonic constants of the nearest shore point, 0.3 km from the place; points run every 2 km along the coast.
